International Workshop – Transitions to Sustainable Forest Management and Rehabilitation

The third training workshop with title: International Workshop – Transitions to Sustainable Forest Management and Rehabilitation, was successfully held in Kuningan-West Java, Indonesia, from 23 to 28 February 2013.

Objectives of the third training workshop are:

(1)   update information on the progress of report preparation and transition case studies;

(2)   share and exchange tentative results of transition case studies;

(3)   formulate plans for analysis and comparative studies; and

(4)   propose and plan for an end-of-project symposium.

The third training workshop was started on February 23, 2013 where focal points and participants from 8 countries gathered in Bogor and depart the next day to the venue in Kuningan District, West Java, Indonesia.  Unfortunately, focal points from Japan and Vietnam could not join the workshop.  Several local partners to Indonesian team (Kuningan Forestry & Estate Crops Office, Perhutani Kuningan Forest Management Unit, and Kuningan University) were also participated the workshop and help organized the field visit
